Former member of the Qitaihe Municipal Committee and former deputy mayor of the city government Qian Yankao was expelled from the party and removed from public office for serious violations of discipline and law in Heilongjiang Province.
According to the "Clean Longjiang" news on August 20th, recently, after approval by the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee, the Heilongjiang Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection launched an investigation into the serious violations of discipline and law by Qian Yankao, former member of the Standing Committee of the Seven Tahu City Committee and former deputy mayor of the city. In accordance with relevant regulations such as the "Disciplinary Regulations of the Communist Party of China", the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China", and the "Administrative Penalties for Public Servants of the People's Republic of China", the decision was made by the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Heilongjiang Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and reported to the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee for approval to expel Qian Yankao from the Party. The Heilongjiang Provincial Supervisory Commission will also impose administrative penalties; in accordance with regulations, Qian Yankao's qualifications as a delegate to the Taitaihe City Eleventh Communist Party Congress will be terminated; his ill-gotten gains from violating discipline and laws will be confiscated; and the suspected criminal issues will be transferred to the procuratorial organs for investigation and prosecution in accordance with the law, with all related property being transferred as well.
