Qinghai welcomed heavy rain in many areas and initiated a Level Four flood prevention emergency response.

According to the Qinghai Provincial Meteorological Bureau, from 8:00 on August 19 to 8:00 on August 20, a total of 407 out of 1342 meteorological observation sites in the province experienced precipitation, with an average daily precipitation of 7.6 millimeters. The highest precipitation occurred at Gangcha Qinghai Lake Farm, with a precipitation of 36.6 millimeters. Qinghai has issued meteorological risk warnings for heavy rain, flash floods, and geological disasters in multiple areas, and has initiated a level four emergency response for flood control in Xining, Haidong, Hainan, Golog, and Huangnan from 18:00 on August 19.
