On August 14, a Boeing 737-800 aircraft from the American aircraft leasing company World Star Aviation completed a "passenger to cargo" maintenance at Beidike Lingyun (Yichang) Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd. near Yichang Three Gorges International Airport, and successfully cleared customs for export. This is the first overseas aircraft in our province this year to undergo "offshore bonded maintenance". Beidike Lingyun, the only MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) company in the central region that can carry out civil aviation aircraft passenger to cargo business, has repaired more than 500 aircraft since its establishment in 2016, including qualifications for Boeing 737, Airbus A320 and other series of aircraft maintenance. Hu Qiushi, the chairman of Beidike Lingyun, introduced that the maintenance of the aircraft took nearly two years, and through the import of maintenance materials via bonded repair account, more than 370 items were saved with a tax savings of more than 9 million yuan.
