The scale of the integrated circuit industry in Pudong, Shanghai is about one fifth of the national total.

The results of the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" in Shanghai will be released at a series of events entitled "Practical Work Draws Answer Sheets and Relays New Blueprints" on August 20. Li Zheng, member of the Shanghai Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Pudong New Area Committee, stated that the Pudong New Area is promoting three leading industries towards world-class industrial clusters. By 2024, the scale of the integrated circuit industry will reach 294.7 billion yuan, accounting for about 1/5 of the national total. There are nearly 2,000 pipelines in the field of biomedicine, including over 800 new drug pipelines. Research and development results have entered an explosive period, with 23 domestically approved first-class innovative drugs and 27 domestically innovative third-class medical devices obtained since the start of the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan", totaling 28 and 36 respectively. This year, 6 new first-class drugs were approved, accounting for 14% of the national total. Artificial intelligence is being used to build the Mo Li community, with nearly 200 upstream and downstream enterprises in the vertical industry models already accumulated, with 28 major models already registered. By 2024, the regional GDP of Pudong is expected to reach 1.78 trillion yuan, with a per capita GDP of 43,100 US dollars, creating 1/76 of the GDP and 1/17 of the total import and export value of goods on just 1/8000 of the national area.
