The US International Trade Commission Issues Final Determination on Section 337 Investigation of Photovoltaic Interconnects and Their Components

On August 19, the U.S. International Trade Commission issued a notice stating that a 337 partial final ruling was made on certain photovoltaic ribbon bus bar cable components and their components: the initial ruling made by the administrative judge on July 21, 2025 was not subject to review, i.e. the partial approval of the motion filed by the applicant to determine the non-existence of patent unenforceability due to the lack of "but-for" materiality of disputed withheld information. The administrative judge believed that there were indeed significant factual issues in other aspects of unenforceability and unclean hands, but rejected these allegations.
