On August 19th, the 24th meeting of the Special Representatives on the China-India Boundary Issue was held in New Delhi. Chinese Special Representative, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Director of the Central Foreign Affairs Office Wang Yi had comprehensive and productive discussions with Indian Special Representative and National Security Advisor Doval on issues related to the China-India border and bilateral relations. According to the "Indian Express", Doval announced before the meeting that Indian Prime Minister Modi will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in China, and he stated that "today's meeting is of special significance".
