Arabica coffee rises to two-month high, market worries about adverse weather impact on Brazil production.
Due to concerns that multiple rounds of cold weather and light frost may suppress production in the major coffee producing country Brazil, Arabica coffee futures rose on the New York market to the highest level in two months. Analyst Michael McDougall of McDougall Global View stated, "There is growing concern that this year's coffee production in Brazil may be below expectations due to adverse weather conditions." "What is worrying is not only the current crop, but also the potential restriction in 2026 coffee production as multiple rounds of cold weather have caused coffee trees to bloom early."
