In mid-August, a netizen posted on a social platform claiming that two new fried chicken stores in Pudong, Shanghai were promoting themselves under the name of "KFC", but he had never seen a KFC store like this before, so he posted to inquire about the authenticity. On August 19th, a reporter confirmed from a staff member of KFC Shanghai that these stores are indeed a new sub-brand under KFC. This is the latest addition to KFC's sub-brands, following the introduction of KCOFFEE, KPRO, and Grandpa's Tea. The reporter found that the two stores have a single floor area of only about 20 square meters, without a dining area, and there are 4 employees working inside mainly providing delivery and pickup services. The two stores sell Chinese and Korean-style fried chicken, and according to Dianping data, the average price per customer at these stores is around 30 yuan. The stores are open from 11 am to 2 am the next day, and they have abandoned the breakfast period and focus on late-night dining. (Shell Finance)
