The New York police have blocked off two blocks around Times Square.

Aerial footage shows that the section of 7th Avenue between 42nd and 44th Streets, approximately two blocks, has been completely closed off. Employees at the Times Square Tower 3 in the center of the lockdown area have received instructions to "stay away from the windows," and a large number of office workers have gathered in the lobby to take shelter. Currently, the police have not provided any further details about the incident. It has been reported that a suspicious package was found in the area, and the bomb disposal team has arrived at the scene.
