The total value of foreign trade imports and exports in Xinjiang in the first seven months increased by 27.3% year-on-year to 3210.2 billion yuan.
According to statistics from the Urumqi Customs, the total value of foreign trade imports and exports in Xinjiang in the first 7 months of this year was 321.02 billion RMB, an increase of 27.3% year-on-year. In July, the total value of foreign trade imports and exports in Xinjiang was 40.39 billion RMB, an increase of 23.5%. In the first 7 months, Xinjiang traded with 223 countries and regions around the world, an increase of 8.3% compared to the same period last year. Among them, the market of the five Central Asian countries accounted for 52.2% of Xinjiang's total foreign trade value. At the same time, the exploration of emerging markets such as Southeast Asia and Africa has been very successful, with exports and imports to other RCEP member countries, ASEAN, Africa growing by 98.5%, 99.5%, and 121.6% respectively, with their share increasing by 5.7 percentage points, 4.9 percentage points, and 2.1 percentage points. During the same period, imports and exports to the countries participating in the "Belt and Road" initiative increased by 17.5%, accounting for 85.3%.
