Slovak Prime Minister Fico stated that Russian President Putin and US President Trump have initiated a crucial process during their meeting in Alaska, and the next few days will show whether Europe supports this process. Fico said in a video speech posted on social media Facebook (which is banned in Russia): "The two presidents have launched a crucial process in Alaska. For the EU, this process is now a major trap. The next few days will show whether the EU's major member states will support this process to quickly end the conflict in Ukraine or whether Europe will continue to rely on a failed strategy of trying to weaken Russia through this conflict."
