The Chinese delegation attends the fifth resumed meeting of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution.

The fifth meeting of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution continues in Geneva, Switzerland from August 5th to 15th, 2025. Over 2600 representatives from 183 member countries and more than 400 observer organizations are attending. During the meeting, a ministerial roundtable chaired by the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme, Anderson, was held, with over a hundred ministerial-level representatives in attendance. Li Gao, member of the Party Group of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and Vice Minister, led the Chinese delegation, which included representatives from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, and other departments and units.
