According to sources familiar with the matter, current and former employees of OpenAI plan to sell approximately $6 billion in shares to investors including Thrive Capital, SoftBank, and Dragoneer Investment Group, valuing OpenAI at $500 billion. Negotiations are in the early stages and the size of the share sale may still change.
