The Forestry and Grassland Bureau of Qinghai Province is seeking public opinions on the "Notice on Further Optimizing the Management of Collection and Sale of Cordyceps sinensis in Qinghai Province." The draft for public opinions proposes that county forestry and grassland bureaus strictly prohibit issuing collection permits for artificially cultivated cordyceps for sale; for dealers who sell both wild Cordyceps sinensis and artificially cultivated cordyceps, supervision of the administrative licensing for the sale of Cordyceps sinensis should be strengthened. The draft also emphasizes the strict regulation of the issuance of collection permits. The second copy of the collection permits for nationally protected wild plants will no longer be distributed to village committees, but will be centrally managed by county forestry and grassland bureaus for easy access by public security agencies for file checking and by units purchasing Cordyceps sinensis for transactions. The first and third copies of the collection permits will be archived by the provincial forestry and grassland bureau and the city and prefecture forestry and grassland bureaus, respectively.
