Hong Kong Monetary Authority: Total credit card receivables in the second quarter fell by 2.5% to HK$149 billion.
According to the Smart Financial News App, on August 15th, the Hong Kong government Census and Statistics Department released the results of a credit card loan survey for the second quarter of 2025. The total amount of credit card receivables in the second quarter of 2025 fell by 2.5% to HK$149 billion as of the end of June, compared to a 5.8% decrease in the previous quarter. The delinquency and restructuring merger ratio was 0.45% in June 2025, compared to 0.42% at the end of the previous quarter. The quarterly bad debt ratio of credit cards was 0.64% in the second quarter of 2025, compared to 0.61% at the end of the previous quarter, still maintaining at a relatively low level.
