Cui Dongshu: From January to July, automobile production increased by 11% year on year. The production of new energy vehicles increased by 33% year on year.

According to the Zhitong Finance and Economics APP, on August 15, Cui Dongshu stated in a post that in July 2025, 2.51 million cars were produced, an 8% increase compared to the previous year; 1.18 million new energy vehicles were produced, a 17% increase, with a penetration rate of 47%; and 1.33 million traditional fuel vehicles were produced, a 2% increase compared to the previous year. From January to July 2025, a total of 18.08 million cars were produced, an 11% increase compared to the previous year; 8.05 million new energy vehicles were produced, a 33% increase, with a penetration rate of 45%; and 10.03 million traditional fuel vehicles were produced, a 3% decrease compared to the previous year.
