The number of foreign tourists in Yiwu has increased by 260%, ranking first in the country.
This summer, Yiwu, known as the "World Small Commodities Capital," is experiencing a surge in inbound tourism. A notable feature of inbound tourism in Yiwu is that many international visitors are not just coming to play, but to do business while shopping. Data shows that the travel trajectory of foreign tourists in China is rapidly shifting from traditional coastal hubs to inland areas, with Yiwu ranking first with a 2.6 times increase among the top ten destinations. From January to June this year, there have been approximately 300,000 registered overseas visitors entering Yiwu. In addition to conducting business, foreign tourists also enjoy visiting Yiwu's various night markets, buying daily necessities, and trying Chinese cuisine. This year, the number of tax refund shops in Yiwu has increased from the original 7 to 37, making it a new must-visit destination for them.
