The world's first silt removal platform has been put into operation in Lake Taihu.

Today, our country's independently developed world's first set of eco-friendly and intelligent integrated water platform for dredging, "Taihu Light", was fully put into use in the Taihu Lake area of Yixing, Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. "Taihu Light" consists of five operation ships connected through pipelines, including: the new intelligent environmental dredging ship "Taihu Junclear 2", screening and regulating ship "Taihu Light 1", dewatering and reducing ship "Taihu Light 2, 3", and the world's first residual water treatment ship. The five ships work together to integrate the closed-loop operation capabilities of ecological dredging, residual water purification, and other processes, with a daily dredging capacity of up to 8000 cubic meters, equivalent to filling 100 standard containers.
