In the first half of the year, the technology contract transactions in Hubei Province reached 318.7 billion yuan.

At a recent exchange meeting titled "Innovative JingchuIntegration of Science and Industry" held by the Science and Technology Department and the Propaganda Department of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee, it was revealed that in the first half of the year, Hubei Province accelerated the implementation of its strategy to lead in scientific and technological innovation, focusing and concentrating various works on key points. The province's scientific and technological innovation capability continues to improve, with a series of data showing impressive results. In the first half of the year, the total number of key national laboratories reached 45, ranking fourth in the country. Hubei Laboratories released 30 outstanding achievements with distinct Hubei characteristics. Six new provincial key laboratories were identified, bringing the total to 235; 30 new research and development institutions were registered, bringing the total to 545. Hubei established the G100 Alliance in the central region with Jiangxi, Hunan, and four other provinces, and signed a framework agreement for scientific and technological cooperation in the Yangtze River Economic Belt with Shanghai, Jiangsu, and ten other provinces and cities, striving to attract the Torch Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to settle in Wuhan. The National Quantum Joint Fund of 1 billion RMB was landed for 5 years, with a total of 28 provincial joint funds totaling 210 million RMB, doubling in size for five consecutive years. The province's total technology contract turnover in the first half of the year reached 318.7 billion RMB, an increase of 10.55% year-on-year; 10,296 high-tech enterprises registered for declaration, an increase of 17.2% year-on-year; and 28,692 science and technology small and medium-sized enterprises were reserved for inclusion, an increase of 11.44% year-on-year.
