Samsung's market share in DRAM memory and smartphone display panels decreased in the first half of the year.

In the first half of 2025, Samsung Electronics' market share performance in the DRAM memory and smartphone display panel sectors was weaker than in 2024, both falling below the 40% mark. In the DRAM business sector managed by the DS branch storage department, its memory market share reached 41.5% last year, but in the first half of this year, it dropped to only 32.7%, a decrease of 8.8 percentage points. The market share of smartphone display panel business dropped further from 50.1% in 2023 to 41.0% in 2024, and then decreased by another 1.1 percentage points to 39.9%.
