National Bureau of Statistics: Industrial production is growing rapidly, the development of equipment manufacturing and high-tech manufacturing is good.

In July, the value added of industrial enterprises above designated size in the country increased by 5.7% year-on-year and 0.38% month-on-month. Breaking it down into three major categories, mining industry increased by 5.0% year-on-year, manufacturing industry grew by 6.2%, and electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply industry increased by 3.3%. The value added of equipment manufacturing industry increased by 8.4% year-on-year, high-tech manufacturing industry grew by 9.3%, both faster than the overall value added of industrial enterprises above designated size by 2.7 and 3.6 percentage points respectively. In terms of economic types, the value added of state-owned enterprises increased by 5.4% year-on-year; that of shareholding enterprises grew by 6.5%, while foreign, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan-invested enterprises increased by 2.8%; private enterprises grew by 5.0%. Looking at products, the output of 3D printing equipment, industrial robots, and new energy vehicles increased by 24.2%, 24.0%, and 17.1% year-on-year respectively. From January to July, the value added of industrial enterprises above designated size in the country increased by 6.3% year-on-year. In July, the manufacturing purchasing managers' index was 49.3%, and the index for business production and operation expectations was 52.6%. From January to June, the total profit of industrial enterprises above designated size in the country reached 3.4365 trillion yuan, a decrease of 1.8% year-on-year.
