Barclays Bank is recruiting two senior management personnel in its securitization products business to expand its influence in the multi-trillion dollar market. According to a statement, Shaishav Agarwal will join the British bank as the head of US Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), after working at Deutsche Bank for about 20 years as the Global Head of Commercial Real Estate Capital Markets. The statement notes that Agarwal will report to Martin Attea, the Global Head of Securitization Products Initiatives. Barclays states that Guanqing Xiang will serve as Co-Head of Collateralized Mortgage Obligations (CMO) and Head of Institutional CMBS Trading. According to his LinkedIn profile, Xiang previously worked as Managing Director at Montreal Bank. Barclays says he will report to David Garner, the Global Head of Bond Trading for securitization products.
