Yunnan: Support free testing of high-altitude drones

The General Office of the People's Government of Yunnan Province recently issued "Several Measures to Support the Healthy Development of Low-altitude Economy in Yunnan Province". Among them, it is proposed to support the free testing of high-altitude drones. Support the construction of high-altitude drone test bases, form a complete system and chain of test capabilities for high-altitude drone batteries, motors, chips, flight control systems, intelligent navigation, aircraft materials, etc. Provide free high-altitude drone testing services to domestic and foreign enterprises, and the provincial and prefectural finance departments will provide 70% and 30% of the approved testing project operating costs respectively. Develop high-altitude drone standards. Encourage scientific research institutions, universities, enterprises, and institutions to actively participate in the standardization of high-altitude drones, lead or participate in the formulation of international standards, national standards, industry standards, and local standards, and provide funding support of up to 500,000 yuan, 300,000 yuan, 150,000 yuan, and 50,000 yuan respectively for each standard after publication. Support pilot projects. Taking applications as the guide and market as the driver, designate key development areas for low-altitude economy, plan low-altitude flight routes and establish a coordinated management mechanism for military, civilian low-altitude airspace according to demand. Take Kunming, Qujing, Honghe, Lijiang, Nujiang, etc. as pilot sites, innovate departmental coordinated management mechanisms, and explore replicable and promotable low-altitude application demonstration scenarios.
