Driven by the soaring service costs, the U.S. PPI in July reached its highest level in 3 years. A report released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics on Thursday showed that the PPI rose by 0.9% from the previous month, compared to no change in June. The index increased by 3.3% compared to the same period last year. Excluding food, energy, and trade services, the index rose by 0.6% from June and by 2.8% compared to the same period last year.
