On the morning of August 14th, the State Council Information Office held a press conference on the achievements in the development of digital China during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. Liu Liehong, member of the Party Group of the National Development and Reform Commission and director of the National Bureau of Statistics, said that in the past, the industry often said "lacking core and soul," reflecting the insufficient self-controllability of China in high-end chips, operating systems and other areas. After years of continuous efforts, breakthroughs have been made in a number of key core technologies in the digital field, gradually solving these problems and demonstrating significant development achievements in China. The integrated circuit industry is accelerating its layout, forming a complete industrial chain covering design, manufacturing, packaging testing, materials and equipment. Domestic operating systems are rising rapidly, with the example of the HarmonyOS system, the total number of HarmonyOS-equipped devices has exceeded 1.19 billion, installing the "smart center" for over 1,200 types of products such as smartphones, automobiles, and home appliances. The overall and systematic leapfrogging of China's comprehensive strength in artificial intelligence, with Chinese artificial intelligence patents accounting for 60% of the global total, and breakthroughs in areas such as humanoid robots and smart terminals.
