On August 13, heavy rain fell in parts of Heyuan, Yangjiang in Guangdong, Lianyungang in Jiangsu, and Zhangzhou in Fujian. Due to the rainfall and melting snow caused by high temperatures, two small and medium-sized rivers, Pingdian River in Yunnan Yuanjiang River system and Shata River in Yili River system in Xinjiang, experienced flood levels exceeding the warning level. Currently, the Ministry of Water Resources has maintained a level IV emergency response for flood prevention in Beijing, Hubei, Chongqing, Sichuan, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan and other provinces and regions. Three working groups from the Ministry of Water Resources are providing guidance on the front lines of typhoon and storm rain flood prevention in Fujian, Guangdong, and Guangxi.
