Baidu plans to expand its autonomous driving car testing to Kai Tak in Hong Kong.

According to a report by Ming Pao citing unnamed sources, Baidu plans to apply to expand its autonomous driving testing range to Kai Tak in Hong Kong. The report stated that the Transport Department said Baidu is currently drafting detailed plans for testing in Kai Tak. Baidu obtained a license from the Hong Kong Transport Department in November last year to conduct autonomous vehicle tests in the remote area of North Lantau, away from the city center.
