African stock market closing report

On Wednesday, the South African FTSE/JSE Africa Top 40 Tradable Index closed up 1.11% at 94,846.90 points, continuing to set a new record high. The South African Rand rose by about 0.5% against the US Dollar, temporarily stabilizing near 17.51 Rand, with a rebound of over 3.8% so far in August.
