Two departments: some areas in Fujian, Jiangxi, Hubei, and Hunan provinces have a higher meteorological risk of geological disasters.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and the China Meteorological Administration jointly issued a geological disaster weather risk warning at 18:00 on August 13. It is predicted that from 20:00 on August 13 to 20:00 on August 14, there will be a higher risk of geological disasters in some areas of southern Fujian, southern Jiangxi, southwestern Hubei, northwestern and southern Hunan, northern and eastern Guangdong, and western Yunnan. All levels of government and relevant departments should be prepared for geological disaster defense in accordance with emergency plans. The public should pay attention to the geological disaster weather risk warning information in a timely manner and be cautious when entering the warning areas. People in the yellow warning zone should constantly pay attention to changes in warning information, watch out for nearby warning signs, and avoid staying in high-risk areas such as gullies, slopes, and cliffs.
