On the morning of August 13th, the Chaozhou Meteorological Bureau issued a yellow typhoon warning signal, and all primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, nurseries, and training institutions in the city were suspended. According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, Typhoon No. 11 "Yangliu" is expected to land on the southeast coast of Taiwan at noon today; this afternoon it will enter the Taiwan Strait and will land again along the coast from Xiamen, Fujian to Shantou, Guangdong tonight to tomorrow morning. Afterwards, it will continue to move in a west-northwest direction, gradually weakening in intensity. Due to the influence of Typhoon "Yangliu", from the 13th to the 14th, the wind force in the eastern sea areas and counties of Guangdong Province will gradually increase to level 8-10 or above. From the night of the 13th to the night of the 14th, there will be heavy to extremely heavy rain in eastern Guangdong, northern Guangdong, and the northern part of the Pearl River Delta, with locally extremely heavy rainfall. During the day on the 15th, precipitation will significantly decrease.
