An outbreak of African swine fever has occurred on a large farm in Latvia.

The Latvian Food and Veterinary Service reported on the 12th that an outbreak of African swine fever occurred in a farm with 4,900 pigs in the western Latvian city of Talsi. The farm affected by African swine fever belongs to the Danish company Nigoh International. This is the fourth case of African swine fever discovered in Latvia this year, with the previous three outbreaks all occurring in small farms.
