Wildfires are raging in Canada, with an area of over 73,000 square kilometers burned.

According to the latest data from the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre and the Canadian Department of Natural Resources, as of now, the total area burned by wildfires in Canada in 2025 has exceeded 73,000 square kilometers, more than double the average level for the same period over the past ten years. Manitoba and Saskatchewan account for over half of the total area burned in the country, while British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario also have fire areas well above their respective 25-year averages. Several provinces have declared various levels of emergency and fire bans.
