Typhoon "Yangliu" will gradually affect the southeast sea areas, South China and Jiangnan areas.
On August 12th at 14:00, the center of Typhoon "Yangliu" was located in the northwest Pacific Ocean about 590 kilometers to the east-southeast of Taitung City, Taiwan. The maximum wind near the center was at level 12, with the intensity reaching typhoon level. It is expected that "Yangliu" will move in a westward direction at a speed of 25 to 30 kilometers per hour, gradually increasing in intensity. It is predicted that "Yangliu" will make landfall on the southeastern coast of Taiwan around noon on the 13th, with the expected intensity being a typhoon to strong typhoon level. After crossing Taiwan, the typhoon will enter the Taiwan Strait, where its intensity will significantly weaken. It is expected to make landfall again along the coastal areas of southern Fujian to eastern Guangdong on the night of the 13th to the early morning of the 14th. The intensity of the second landfall is predicted to be at the level of strong tropical storm to typhoon level. After landfall, it will continue to move in a west-northwest direction, gradually weakening in intensity.
