The Central Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning for heavy rain at 18:00 on August 12th. It is expected that from 20:00 on August 12th to 20:00 on August 13th, there will be heavy to torrential rain in parts of southeastern Inner Mongolia, central and western Heilongjiang, central and western Jilin, western Liaoning, northeastern Hebei, northeastern Beijing, northern Tianjin, southeastern Henan, northern Anhui, central Jiangsu, central Hubei, northern Hunan, central to northern Yunnan, southern Tibet, and most parts of Taiwan. In some areas, including southeastern Henan, northern Hubei, eastern and southern Taiwan, there will be heavy rain, and locally heavy rainfall in eastern and southern Taiwan. Some of the above-mentioned areas will experience short-term heavy precipitation, with locally strong convective weather such as thunderstorms and strong winds.
