Norway's sovereign wealth fund returns to a new high since the end of 2023, reducing holdings in oil and gas giants and betting on technology.

According to the Wise Finance APP, the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund delivered an impressive performance in the second quarter. The report released by the Norwegian Bank Investment Management Company (NBIM) on Tuesday showed that the world's largest sovereign wealth fund achieved a return rate of 6.4% for the quarter, marking its best quarterly performance since the end of 2023. With a fund size of $1.9 trillion, its performance was mainly driven by equity investments, with a return rate of 8.45% for equity assets in the quarter. Significant profits were contributed by non-listed infrastructure investments at 8.1%, and fixed income and non-listed real estate also brought in small positive returns.
