Recently, the China Institute of Information and Communications Research jointly with the Brain-Machine Interface Industry Alliance released the "Brain-Machine Interface Technology and Application Research Report." The report analyzed the characteristics of brain-machine interface technology, believing it to be innovative, interdisciplinary, and cutting-edge, and pointing out that the innovative development of this technology will rely on interdisciplinary collaboration. The report stated that brain-machine interface technology is of strategic importance and a key area in the competition among major countries. From a technical perspective, the report summarized the evolution pattern of brain-machine interface technology as a two-horizontal-three-vertical mode of development, and from an industrial ecology perspective, it analyzed the current composition, investment and financing progress, and industrialization progress of the industry. Finally, the report looked at the future development trends of brain-machine interfaces, suggesting that with the drive of multiple favorable factors, the application prospects are broad, scientific research innovation and industrial implementation will accelerate, and the industry ecology will continue to thrive.
