The People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality has issued the "Implementation Plan on Implementing Financial Support for the Deepening of Cooperation in Guangzhou Nansha towards the World with Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao", which proposes to deepen the pilot work of digital renminbi, gradually expand the application of digital renminbi in Nansha, and focus on expanding consumption, tourism, healthcare, education, shipping, bulk commodity trading, cross-border trade, and other scenarios. Encourage more enterprises to use multilateral central bank digital currency bridges in cross-border transactions with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, and promote banks and financial institutions to optimize projects and functions using digital currency bridges, gradually expanding into diverse scenes such as foreign exchange trading and trade financing.
