Zhejiang initiates emergency response for typhoon at sea. A significant windstorm will occur starting tonight.

According to the Zhejiang Provincial Emergency Management Department, Typhoon "Yangliu" is expected to be located in the ocean about 730 kilometers east-southeast of Taitung City, Taiwan at 8:00 on August 12. It is predicted to move in a west-northwesterly direction at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour, gradually strengthening in intensity. It is expected to make landfall on the southeast coast of Taiwan around noon on the 13th, cross the island, and approach the coast of Fujian and Guangdong. It is forecasted that a strong wind and wave event will occur in the Zhejiang Sea area from late night today to the 14th. According to the "Zhejiang Province Flood and Typhoon Emergency Response Plan", the Zhejiang Province Flood Control Headquarters has decided to launch a maritime typhoon emergency response at 11:00 on August 12.
