"Using low-priced housing to attract traffic? Real estate agents accuse colleagues of unfair competition, Beike Nanjing responds"
Recently, a brand manager of a Nanjing shell brand posted a video accusing the local unfair competition. In the video, he called out to Shell, saying, "I have been a member of Shell for 5 years, but now there are some pests appearing in Nanjing Shell, posting fake listings online and profiting without work. We report it, but it's no use, and feedback is also useless." The manager told Sina Technology that in Nanjing, another Shell brand intermediary is posting low-priced listings on platforms such as Xiaohongshu and Douyin to attract traffic. "For example, if the actual closing price of a house is 2 million, they post it online for 1.5 million, get the customer's number first, but in reality, they don't bring the customer to see the house, waste the customer's time, and play the customer around." The manager also mentioned, "Many customers who have bought a house later see videos of these low-priced listings, then complain that the hardworking agents they worked with bought at a higher price and demand a refund of the difference." The manager emphasized, "These listings are primarily for new homes, and these so-called low-priced listings are fake listings." The intermediary revealed that the local operating center of Nanjing Shell has intervened in the matter. In response to this incident, Shell Nanjing stated that as of now, Shell platform inspectors have arrived at the store involved and will conduct interviews with the store owner and the agents who actually posted the listings. After verification, if the violations of the store or agents are confirmed, they will be dealt with according to Shell platform's relevant management regulations.
