In the first half of the year, the number of new operating entities nationwide exceeded 13 million, with both private and foreign enterprises experiencing growth.
The State Administration for Market Regulation announced today that in the first half of this year, there were a total of 13.278 million newly established business entities nationwide. Among them, there were 4.62 million new enterprises, 8.629 million new individual businesses, and 29,000 new farmer professional cooperatives, all showing a stable growth trend. The development momentum of private and foreign-funded enterprises is good. In the first half of the year, there were 4.346 million new private enterprises, an increase of 4.6% year-on-year, and 33,000 new foreign-funded enterprises, an increase of 4.1%. The development trend of enterprises of various ownerships is good. The industrial structure is further optimized. In the first half of the year, there were 601,000 new business entities in the primary industry, 965,000 in the secondary industry, and 11.712 million in the tertiary industry. As of the end of June, there were 25.361 million "new economy" enterprises registered nationwide, an increase of 6.6% year-on-year, accounting for 40.2% of the total number of enterprises. The cultural industry in the consumption sector has highlighted points. With the rise in popularity of domestic intellectual property globally, the cultural industry has become a highlight of consumption growth in the first half of the year, with the growth rate of new "cultural, sports, and entertainment" enterprises reaching 17.5%.
