According to Science Daily, China has made a significant breakthrough in the field of intelligent breeding. Researchers at the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have integrated biotechnology and artificial intelligence technology to modify the flower structure of crops, making them easier for robots to operate. They have successfully developed the world's first automatic cruise hybrid pollination breeding robot "Ji'er." This breakthrough solves the problem of hybrid breeding, significantly reducing breeding costs, shortening breeding cycles, and improving breeding efficiency. The related research results were published online in the journal "Cell" on the 11th.
