The spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce answered questions regarding the adjustment of the Unreliable Entity List measures. According to the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China, the Regulations on the Unreliable Entity List, and relevant regulations, on April 4th and 9th, 2025, the Unreliable Entity List work mechanism added 17 American entities to the list, prohibiting these companies from engaging in import and export activities related to China, as well as new investments within China. In order to implement the consensus reached in the China-US economic and trade high-level talks, the measures announced on April 4th will continue to be suspended for 90 days starting from August 12th, 2025, and the measures announced on April 9th will be stopped. According to the relevant provisions of the Regulations on the Unreliable Entity List, domestic companies can apply to conduct transactions with the entities listed, and the Unreliable Entity List work mechanism will conduct reviews in accordance with the law, approving applications that meet the conditions.
