Trump's attitude towards Intel's CEO has suddenly changed. He initially asked for his resignation, but a few days later, he called him a "success story".

US President Trump posted on the Truth Social platform on Monday local time that he met with Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger. After the announcement, Intel's stock price rose more than 2% in after-hours trading. Just days earlier, he had demanded the chip giant's CEO to resign. "I met with Mr. Intel Pat Gelsinger, Secretary of Commerce Lutnick, and Secretary of the Treasury Benson," Trump wrote, "It was a very interesting conversation. His successful rise is legendary. Mr. Gelsinger will consult with my cabinet members and submit recommendations to me next week." Trump's statement this time is in stark contrast to last week. Last Thursday, he had posted that Gelsinger "has serious conflicts of interest and must resign immediately, this is the only way to solve the problem."
