Wildfire rages in Italy, Mount Vesuvius tourist routes closed.

Due to the raging forest fires at the foothills of Mount Vesuvius in the Campania region of southern Italy, firefighters and the military continued their efforts to extinguish the flames on the 10th. Hiking trails near Naples leading to Mount Vesuvius have been closed to tourists. The fire started in the Vesuvius National Park on the 8th and quickly spread with the help of high temperatures and strong winds, covering an area of about 500 hectares so far. Currently, 12 firefighting teams and 6 aircraft have been deployed to extinguish the fire.
