Closing: Shanghai index hits new high again in the afternoon, PEEK material concept leads the two markets.

The Shanghai Composite Index hit a new high for the year again in intraday trading, with the ChiNext Index closing up nearly 2%. In terms of sectors, the PEEK material concept led the gains in the two cities, with Shenyi Technology and Chaojie Shares both closing up by the daily limit of 20cm; lithium mining concept stocks collectively surged, with Ganfeng Lithium Industry closing up by the daily limit in the afternoon; the battery sector followed suit, with Wild Horse Battery closing up by the limit. On the downside, the gold concept showed weakness and fluctuated, with Chaohongji and Chifeng Gold leading the decline; bank stocks weakened, with China Everbright Bank and Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank leading the losses; the shipbuilding concept fluctuated and fell, with China Shipbuilding and Jiu Zhiyang leading the decline. Overall, there were more stocks rising than falling, with over 4,100 stocks rising. As of the close, the Shanghai Composite Index was at 3647.55 points, up 0.34%; the Shenzhen Component Index was at 11291.43 points, up 1.46%; and the ChiNext Index was at 2379.82 points, up 1.96%. On the market, PEEK materials, energy metals, and battery sectors led the gains, while precious metals, shipbuilding, and banking sectors led the losses.
