Gansu issues strong convective yellow warning, multiple scenic spots in Lanzhou temporarily closed.
The Lanzhou Central Meteorological Observatory in Gansu province issued a strong convective yellow warning at 10:51 on the 11th: it is expected that in the next 24 hours, there will be thunderstorms in some areas east of Wuwei, including some areas in Lanzhou, Baiyin, and Linxia cities, as well as the southern part of Wuwei city, the northern part of Dingxi city, the northern part of Gannan prefecture, the southern part of Tianshui city, the northern part of Qingyang city, the Liupan Mountain area, and the Ganmin Mountain area will experience short-term heavy rainfall, accompanied by strong thunderstorm winds of 8-10 on the Beaufort scale or hail. The maximum hourly rainfall intensity can reach 15-35 millimeters, and the main period of heavy rainfall is from 12:00 on August 11th to 8:00 on the 12th.
In order to ensure the safety of the lives and property of the general tourists and citizens, and effectively prevent the risk of secondary disasters such as flash floods, mudslides, and landslides that may be caused by heavy rainfall, the Lanzhou Tulu Valley National Forest Park, Yuzhong Qiyun Tianyuan Town scenic area, Yuzhong Old HomeLang Street scenic area, and Yongdeng Shuping Town scenic area will be temporarily closed from 0:00 on the 11th to 0:00 on the 12th.
