The Ministry of Natural Resources has raised the response level for geological disaster prevention in Hubei and Chongqing to Level III.

According to the meteorological department's forecast, in the next three days, parts of Hubei and Chongqing will experience heavy to torrential rain, with isolated heavy downpours and strong convective weather with short-duration heavy precipitation. The Geological Hazard Technology Guidance Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources has assessed that there is a high risk of geological disasters in parts of western Hubei, central and southeastern Chongqing. In accordance with the "Ministry of Natural Resources Geological Hazard Defense Response Plan," the Ministry of Natural Resources will raise the geological hazard defense response for Hubei and Chongqing to Level III at 18:00 on August 10th.
