The Canary Islands in Spain faced extreme heat risks on the 10th, with four islands activating red heatwave warnings. According to the records of Spain's National Meteorological Agency, on August 9th, the island of Gran Canaria in Spain recorded a temperature of 43.5 degrees Celsius, the highest temperature recorded nationwide that day. The provinces of Crdoba, vila, Toledo, and Huesca in Spain all recorded temperatures above 42 degrees Celsius on the 9th.
