Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office in Hong Kong: Law enforcement actions in the SAR are reasonable and legal, and Western intervention is doomed to fail.
In response to the so-called "joint statement" issued by members of the Group of Seven's rapid response mechanism, openly defaming and smearing the law enforcement actions of the Hong Kong SAR police force, the spokesperson for the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region stated on the 9th that they resolutely oppose and strongly condemn it. The spokesperson pointed out that the evil acts of anti-China and chaos in Hong Kong, such as Yuen Kwong-yi, are suspected of seriously violating the national security law of Hong Kong, attempting to subvert the country's political power, and must be severely punished. In order to maintain the rule of law in Hong Kong and defend national sovereignty and security, the SAR police force lawfully issued warrants for anti-China and chaos in Hong Kong, which are reasonable, legal, justifiable, responsive to public opinion, justifiable and necessary, and not to be interfered with. The accusations from the West regarding the so-called "cross-border suppression" by the SAR police force are groundless, as the extraterritorial application of Hong Kong's national security laws fully complies with international law principles, international practices, and practices in various countries and regions. The spokesperson emphasized that Hong Kong affairs are purely China's internal affairs and do not allow any external forces to interfere. Any attempt to smear or interfere cannot shake the strong determination of the central government and the SAR government to safeguard national sovereignty and security, nor can it block the stable and far-reaching momentum of "one country, two systems". China strongly urges the relevant countries to reflect on themselves, abide by the basic principles of international relations, respect the rule of law in the SAR, and immediately stop intervening in Hong Kong affairs and China's internal affairs under any pretext.
