Uzbekistan's small nuclear power plant, which will be constructed by a Russian company, is set to begin construction in March 2026.

Azim Ahmedkhajayev, head of the Uzbekistan Atomic Energy Agency, said that the small nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan, which is being constructed with the participation of the Russia State Atomic Energy Corporation, is planned to pour the first concrete caisson in March 2026.
